Odette...

This is my sweet niece Odette. She was just diagnosed with leukemia in June. She has a long road ahead of her, but she has an amazing mom and dad that are helping her.

When I saw her at the hospital she was talking and smiling. She seems to be a happy baby, despite of it all!

It doesn't seem fair for someone so sweet and so small to have to go through this trial.

My heart and prayers are with her and her family.

Now that's how you make snickerdoodles!!!

kathleen and I spent the day together making cookies while the boys went shopping with Grandma (weird, I know)

While we were making the cookies Kathleen made me take pictures of every step. When we were done she asked if I would make her a scrapbook and title it "Now that's how you make snickerdoodles". I laughed and told her I would.

She makes me laugh and I loved spending time with her. It was great bonding time for us.

I nick named her Lucy because she reminds me of Lucy from Narnia.

I wasn't sure that i wanted to post these pictures, but then I remembered the fun we had and thought...ah, what the heck!
Me, Mari, and Aly really wanted to hang out while I was in Salt Lake, but with busy work schedules, and crazy kids to work around the only time we could get together was 10:00 pm. So we went to Village in for some yummy desserts, and then went to see the new Oquirh Hills Temple. It was beautiful. We couldn't get ourselves to leave. So for two hours we sat across the street from the temple laughing and taking pictures. We were very entertaining. Just ask the temple security gaurds. They sat in their little golf carts watching us and no doubt laughing their heads off. On second thought they may have thought we were drunk. Who knows?!? All I know is that I had a blast and enjoyed spending time with Mari and Aly.

Fun in the sun...

Speniding time with cousins is one of the best parts of growing up! Jayce and Alek spent last week hanging out with Colin, Brandt, Kathleen, Josslynn, and Bri. It was a blast to watch them play and laugh. They spent 2 deays of chasing each other, laughing, eating, lighting fire works, not sleeping, and just being kids.

We are excited to be able to spend more time with them in August.

Wow, I can't believe we are half way through summer. Time flies so fast!
I posted some pics of our adventure so far this summer. We have enjoyed spending time at the zoo with Amy, Emma, Maggie, and my dad, shopping with Aly, cave exploring, and enjoyed a perfect weekend with Tim, Suzanne, Landon, Cortnie, Brennan, and Gabe.
I would say our summer has been next to perfect, and we aren't done yet!
